Katherine Heigl: Goddess Extraordinaire
Written by Michelle, Amy, Melynee and Amanda
Katherine Heigl.
Absolutely gorgeous. You may or may not know her as Isabel Evans, the half-alien, half-human ice princess on Roswell. Or you may know her from her role in My Father, the Hero, but I like to pretend that little piece of severely wrong (on multiple levels) cinema does not exist.
Because a 14-year old asking her father to pretend to be her boyfriend to impress another guy way too old for her is just wrong, yo.
However, she was still hot. Moving on.
Amy:: I have long held the theory that Isabel should be a lesbian on Roswell. There is no wrong there – men would dig it and gurlies, well... I've yet to come across a woman (straight or otherwise) who wouldn't swing for Katherine Heigl. Her allure crosses all boundaries and all pre-supposed lines of distinction between sexual preferences. Just look at that pic and tell me you aren't all weak in the knees and your head isn't tingly. Yeah... I thought so.
That being said... mmm... Katherine. She's a gorgeous gurlie who has an actual shape, unlike most of the actresses out there. Gurls need curves and this whole stick-figurey cookie-cutter thing the movies and TV are obsessed with is old. Very old. I do sincerely wish she'd stop losing weight, though; it does nothing for her. Nor does it do much for all the leather they were putting her in for a while.
I remember the morning willa called and said she wanted to start a site called 'Katherine Heigl is a goddess.' I informed her there already was a site or ten dedicated to her already. She suggested we just go be her lackeys and swoon. I still have no problem with that.
Mmm... Katherine, indeed.
Amanda: I hate skinny girls. That's not to say that I don't have skinny friends or relatives whom I love. But for the most part, skinny girls do not incite me to beg my British friend Kenickie to send me his only copy of the UK edition of FHM – and it wasn't for the Britney Spears cover, either.
Everything about Katherine screams "WOMAN!" and I really like that a lot. She's all curvy and soft, with a sweet round face and all that beautiful thick hair. Her voice is husky. You can almost imagine what she'd look like, and feel like, and sounds like when she's... um... yeah. You know what I mean. She seems real, and for a show targeted at teenagers, I can't imagine a more suitable role model for them. "I am hot and curvy in my leather pants, even in the desert. You can be, too!"
In a show that is filled with robotic actors, Katherine (when given lines and stuff) manages to breathe life into the entire cast. She's luminous. If you have any doubts, go back and watch "Toy House" and the way she achingly portrays a daughter, fearful of losing her mother. You can bet that wasn't the script shining through, kids, that was Katherine.
Michelle: I can't say much beyond beautiful. I'd love to talk about her work in the series, I think she plays her character well, but I don't have any favorite scenes. I just think she is an incredibly gorgeous woman, and I do not hate her for it. Impressive, no?
Melynee: Seeing as how I don't watch Roswell, my only exposure to Miss Katherine is through pictures. I'm sure she's a lovely actress or not and a wonderful, personable young woman or not, but as all I have to go on are the, um, expressions on her face, and her clothing choices, my opinion of her is limited to the extremely shallow.
Katherine Heigl is fucking hot. Yummy. 2001-07-10
